Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actor and model. She was born on November 11, 1966. She made her movie debut as an actress and Bond actress in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte on Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody began modeling after she was approached. The outcome proved to be a lucrative career. Doody did not like glamour or nude work. This was a principle that she incorporated into her acting. If she came to the director's attention in a James Bond film, Doody took on a part on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody's name appeared within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising actors from 1986. 38. Doody was only 18 at the time of her debut in the Bond part. Today she's the newest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody was a voice actor in the 1987 television film adaptation The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in his dream. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors in the role of James Bond. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen as well as her girlfriend on the set of Major League II. She was selected as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. Doody played a role in The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony in recognition of an award. in 2004, Doody appeared alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. In 2010 Doody was a character on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was the 2011 version of her film. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The film was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on 21 November 2018.
